Where we started
In promotional products manufacturing, one order passes through several stages — from design to print, press, workshop, packing and shipping — and each product often consists of several components that themselves have to be purchased and tracked in the warehouse. While inventory, production recipes, customer prices, orders, invoices and purchases live in separate Excel tables, no one knows the true stock balance, how many finished products can even be produced from the existing components, or which production stage a specific order is at. A single system was needed that links products and their components, inventory, customers, sales orders with the production workflow, invoices and supplier purchases — all in one place.
What we built
MBC built a full-featured manufacturing ERP/CRM system on Laravel with a React user interface in two languages. The system covers the whole company cycle: warehouse and production items with components (BOM), a customer and lead CRM, sales orders with a designer and multi-stage production workflow, invoices and payments, as well as a full procurement cycle — suppliers, purchase orders, goods receipt and supplier invoices.
- Inventory tracking with SKU, stock balances, prices and multilingual names, as well as stock adjustments
- Production items (BOM) with components and even nested sub-items — the system automatically calculates how many finished products can be produced from the available components (purchased + adjustments − reserved)
- Multi-level price lists with quantity thresholds (price depending on the ordered volume) for items and production items
- Customer cards with contact persons, price lists, taxes, notes, reminders and order/invoice history
- Lead CRM with status history, notes, reminders and a public application form for the website
- Sales orders with a designer and production workflow: design → print → press → workshop → packing → shipping, where each stage is opened only after the previous one is completed and assigned to the responsible role
- Invoices with automatic VAT calculations, PDF generation and delivery to the customer, received payments, sales returns and expenses
- Full procurement cycle: suppliers, purchase orders, goods receipt and supplier invoices
- A roles and permissions system, an activity log, data import/export (Excel) and a multilingual interface (EN/LV)
