Where we started
Latvijas Podologu Biedrība holds events and seminars for which attendees need a certificate of attendance. Manual attendance tracking — paper registration sheets and issuing certificates by hand — is time-consuming and error-prone: it is hard to be sure who was actually present and for how long, and certificates have to be prepared manually after each event. A system was needed that links ticket purchase, actual attendance and the certificate — automatically and without paper.
What we built
MBC built a Laravel-based events and members portal. When buying a ticket, the attendee receives a unique QR code; at the event it is scanned at check-in and check-out, recording the attendance times. If the event has been attended, the system automatically generates the certificate.
