Where we started
On a multi-sided delivery platform, the customer, courier (contractor) and merchant meet in one flow, and each works in their own mobile app. Behind them all, an operator tool is needed that sees and runs every request from creation to delivery, manages contractor offers, merchant catalogs and the split of money between the sides. An operator system was needed that manages this multi-sided flow in real time and serves all sides mobile apps via API.
What we built
MBC built a Laravel API and React operator administration. The system runs delivery requests through an 11-step lifecycle, handles contractor offers and conversations, merchant branches, catalogs and orders, payment splitting with MakeCommerce and subscriptions, while via the API it serves the courier, customer and merchant mobile apps.
- Express request management with an 11-step lifecycle and operator intervention (forced cancellation/completion)
- Contractor (courier) offers, selection and order chat between the sides
- Merchant branches, product catalog, orders and merchant verification
- Payment splitting and payouts with MakeCommerce — separately for the merchant and the courier
- Subscription plans for contractors and merchants with automatic lifecycle monitoring
- Support chat with automatic replies and discount codes (platform and merchant)
- Built-in test request generator for preparing data
- User, role and permission (RBAC) management; REST API for serving the mobile apps
