Fitness content management system

Where we started

The value of a fitness app is in its content — the structured exercise library, workout programs and nutrition database. Someone has to manage this content constantly: add exercises with images and video, maintain nutrition records, control users and subscriptions. Without an administration system, every change requires a developer. A back end was needed that serves the mobile app via API and gives the team full control over content and users itself.

What we built

MBC built a Laravel API with Sanctum authentication and a React administration interface. The API serves the Flutter mobile app, while in the administration system the client team independently manages exercises, workout programs, the nutrition database, measurements, users and PRO subscriptions.

• Exercise library management — exercises with images, video and instructions, organised by body part and category, with drag-and-drop ordering
• Media library with image processing and content reports (XLSX)
• Creating and managing workout programs (templates)
• Nutrition product database with calories and macros, as well as nutrition goals
• Body measurement unit and value management
• PRO subscription management with RevenueCat integration and a free trial period
• User, role and permission (RBAC) management and global settings
• REST API with Sanctum authentication serving the Flutter mobile app
